Parents
The parents' role in a student's academic success is crucial, especially for adolescents. Because of the rapidly changing nature of the world, today's young people are faced with situations their parents never had to face. At Uwharrie Charter Academy, we want our parents to take an active role in their child's academic growth. Parents should understand their role in the support of their student by being actively involved in their student's learning through the following: by providing the necessary tools, supplies, and home study environment; by making themselves aware of classroom deadlines and expectations; by consistent and frequent inquiries into the student's current academic standing; and by supporting school-wide initiatives. Volunteering at our school is welcomed!
